Y nos llegó sin emoción, con el pasmo seco del que reconoce un nombre en una esquela.
Esa fue la pobreza.
Pusimos estatua al primero que comprendió la unión del río con la piedra y nos fijó, así, un arquetipo: las galerías que endurecen al descender, la corriente que arrastra sobras negras.

Fruela Fernández (Langreo, 1982) ha publicado los libros de poemas Folk (Pre-Textos, 2013) y Círculos (KRK, 2001). Ha traducido textos de Patrick Kavanagh, Marie Luise Kaschnitz, Franz Kafka y Edoardo Sanguineti, entre otros, y editado el libro colectivo The Smiths: música, política y deseo (Errata Naturae, 2014). Entre 2007 y 2011 codirigió el festival Cosmopoética (Premio Nacional del Fomento a la Lectura). En la actualidad es profesor de la Universidad de Newcastle (Reino Unido).
