LA CONQUISTA DE BRETAÑA POR EL IMPERIO ROMANO ESTÁ AMENAZADA DESDE DENTRO... A mediados del siglo I d. C, el imperio romano en Bretaña aún debe superar un último obstáculo: Carataco, rey del Catuvellauni y líder de la resistencia. El prefecto Macro, junto con el ahora centurión Macro, tienen la misión de capturarlo para llevar de nuevo la gloria al emperador Claudio. Pero hay mucho más en juego? La captura y tormento de un mensajero en las calles de Roma revela un complot para sabotear la campaña del ejército romano contra Carataco. Un agente especial tiene la misión de abrir un segundo frente de ataque contra el ejército y, también, eliminar a los dos soldados romanos que podrían interponerse en su camino. Macro y Cato. La derrota de Carataco parece factible, pero el traidor amenaza no sólo el objetivo militar, sino también la vida de los dos soldados?
