El meu nom és Gina i vaig morir amb 11 anys el 16 de gener del 2014, a les 15h, en braços de la meva mare, en presència de la meva família, i a casa. Així és com tothom desitjaria morir. Heu de saber que vaig viure la meva mort més com un triomf de la vida i com una oportunitat per ser acompanyada, que com un fracàs, i això va ser gràcies a l?equip de cures pal·liatives pediàtriques de Sant Joan de Déu. Estic convençuda que la meva família seguirà vivint, i ho farà amb alegria. I seguiré vivint jo també, després que hagin entès que la mort no destrueix, només transforma, perquè hi ha una manera més lluminosa d?entendre la mort. La Gina va morir fa un any. Després de la seva mort, inevitablement, la seva mare, Elisabet Pedrosa, va començar a escriure Seguirem vivint.
