"Ilustración" es el proceso gracias al cual los seres humanos se atreven a saber, y con ello a ser más libres y construir una sociedad justa desde la autonomía y la responsabilidad individuales. Mediante el saber se alcanza la mayoría de edad. Sólo con semejante actitud el hombre podrá enfrentarse al tenebroso abismo de la tiranía que con su poder incontrolado pretende someter a las personas convirtiéndolas en seres dependientes, caprichosos y atemorizados.
