Esta divertida historia en verso, pionera de la animación fotográfica, fue creada en 1926 y cuenta cómo Vania, Katia y otros niños juegan a transformarse en todo tipo de animales sirviéndose de utensilios cotidianos. Animales animados invita a los niños a jugar o «imitar» a los animales, pero también a confeccionarlos con papel mediante el ensamblaje de formas muy sencillas, tal y como ilustran las fotografías de Aleksandr Ródchenko.
