"El túnel" narra la historia de un joven que, como todas las semanas, coge el tren que le llevará a su universidad. Pero el trayecto que está a punto de iniciar no será ni mucho menos un viaje habitual. Cuando el vagón se adentra en un túnel que se alarga oscureciendo su entorno inusualmente, el joven cae en la cuenta de que las vías van inclinándose cada vez más, como precipitando al protagonista y a los demás pasajeros, aparentemente ajenos a lo extraño de la situación, al centro de la Tierra.
