Durant anys, va descriure, sistemàticament, les característiques arquitectòniques i ornamentals d?un bon nombre de lavabos de la seva ciutat. Amb el temps, les seves descripcions, inicialment sòbries, van anar introduint elements més poètics i de tipus delirant. Aquest llibre és una antologia dels escrits d?aquest autor que, obligat per les circumstàncies, va traçar el primer mapa mai escrit sobre els vàters d?una ciutat.
