La fotògrafa Valentina Morera té gent a sopar. Una trucada del Rat, un incòmode espectre dels anys setanta, esdevingut un politicastre que entra i surt dels jutjats per corrupció, ha fet que ressorgissin moltes coses. I avui Valentina el rebrà a casa, amb altres vells amics amb qui també fa temps que s'han deixat de veure. Hi seran la preciosa fugitiva basca, la buròcrata autonòmica, el dibuixant àcid i famós. Els fantasmes protectors de la llar de Valentina, Fluxus i la senyora Cogito, preparen el terreny. No parlis de mi quan me'n vagi explica aquesta història, però és molt més que aquesta història: una novel·la irònica i colpidora, que s'estructura en variacions i fugues, i en què la veu narradora es va fent plural, acompanyada de cançons, mentre trena passat i present.
