La Jenny va néixer el 27 de febrer de 1979 a Antananarivo, a Madagascar. Quan tenia tres anys, va marxar de l'illa amb els seus pares i es van instal·lar a la rodalia de París. Va estudiar Arts Plàstiques i Ciències de l'Art a París. Després, va entrar a l'École des Gobelines on va estudiar durant dos anys cinema d'animació.El setembre del 2004 va conèixer Thierry Joor, director literari d'Éditions Delcourt, a qui va presentar el seu projecte, Pink Diary, una obra que tenia entre mans des de feia deu anys, i va signar a l'instant la creació de la primera sèrie de manga francès.
