Des del 1994, més de cent cinquanta escriptors d'arreu dels Països Catalans han participat en les trobades que organitza anualment el Consell Cultural de les Valls d'Àneu en algun punt dels Pirineus. L'incansable Ferran Rella ha aconseguit, a més, implicar-hi, en diverses ocasions, escriptors occitans, aragonesos i bascos, veïns d'aquesta serralada que ens uneix més que ens separa.Les trobades d'escriptors són fructíferes per la relació que els creadors estableixen entre ells i amb el paisatge, però també pel fruit que donen passats uns mesos en forma de relats. Els reculls que generen aquestes jornades contribueixen poderosament a la mitificació literària dels Pirineus i en donen una visió complementària i rica.
