Con Piedra y sol ?términos queridos y significativos en la cosmovisión paciana?, Luis Antonio de Villena ha pretendido trazar una antología personal y plural de su labor poética. Una obra, hito de nuestra modernidad, que se abre en la secuela de nuestro 27 y la Generación mexicana de «Contemporáneos» y que culmina en la constante búsqueda del «poema total», en un rico lenguaje de imágenes, entre la profundidad, la sorpresa y el diálogo con la tradición. Quizá, verdaderamente, Paz fuese el último cronológicamente de nuestros grandes modernos. Hondura y fulgor.
