La conflictiva relación del poeta con la Tierra ?su sentimiento de posesión y desposesión, de atracción y rechazo, de amor y maldición, de arraigo y desarraigo? configura el concepto bisémico de exilio, que constituye el gran símbolo o parábola del libro.
