Dos cineastes barcelonins d'avui passen revista a la passió per narrar històries amb imatges, exposada aquí amb paraules al llarg d'unes converses entre dos amics que comparteixen l'ofici i el veuen des d'òptiques no sempre coincidents. Els directors Isabel Coixet (Barcelona 1962) i Cesc Gay (1967) fan el retrat viscut de la vocació cinematogràfica i la seva evolució.
