Con esta premisa, Boris Vian se enfrenta al erotismo, convencido de que la literatura pornográfica sólo existe en la mente del pornógrafo: «No podemos pretender que la descripción?, pongamos de un árbol o de una casa, sea menos erótica que la de una pareja experta de enamorados». Construida la teoría, Vian se lanza a la práctica con una serie de textos que según el escritor Félix Romeo, prologuista de esta edición, «calientan, divierten y subvierten [?].
