Gairebé set dècades després, Leo Vidal, un periodista d'investigació americà, descobrirà que el cap de les SS no buscava el calze sagrat, sinó que hi va anar per amagar l'arma secreta de Hitler en un lloc segellat de l'entorn de l'abadia.
