MUCHOS HAN SIDO los trabajos dedicados al estudio de las denominadas cláusulas absolutas, tanto en la gramática tradicional como en los distintos modelos lingüísticos teóricos actuales. Este libro ofrece un estudio completo sobre las propiedades de estas cláusulas. Se analizan en él, desde una perspectiva integradora, sus características gramaticales internas y externas. Se presta especial atención a su estructura sintáctica y a sus posibles estructuras informativas. Se analiza también la relación sintáctica mediante la que se vinculan a la oración finita en la que aparecen insertas, así como la relación argumentativa que se establece entre ambas.
