Palestra, organització nacional de la joventut catalana, va ser una proposta associativa original pel seu temps: original per la forma que es va fundar a partir d'un debat obert a la premsa, amb intervencions d'intel·lectuals i de simples lectors; original a l'hora d'aplegar activitats culturals, cíviques, socials i esportives sota un mateix aixopluc; i original per conformar un pensament nacionalista, partidari dels canvis progressius i defensor de la persona. En aquest llibre hi trobareu el que va ser una proposta de reforma moral per als joves catalans dels anys trenta, que aspiraven a una Catalunya lliure, democràtica i oberta al món.
