Pero también su activismo pedagógico con raíces en la Escuela Nueva y en el krausismo, se entrelaza con los principios de la Masonería y con el influjo teosófico y espiritista del momento. Tras la depuración franquista decide quedarse constituyéndose en eslabón de una cadena que engrana a un grupo de hombres y mujeres que logró la pervivencia de la renovación educativa anterior y de los ideales masónicos.
